I have not written here for a while but today I got thinking about my Mother. I often do since she passed. My Brother, sister and Myself all chose some music for her funeral.

I chose “o mio babbino caro” Puchini. (Oh My dear Daddy.) Now that sounds a strange choice as we were saying “goodbye” to my Mother. The reason I chose this was because it was one of my Mother’s favourite songs. I think she always associated it with her own father, my grandfather who I never met or have even seen a picture of because he died when my mother was a child.

I have chosen to put a video here of a 9yr old girl singing this beautiful song. For you Mum. x   Be patient, she sings a couple of minutes in.
